The source and the essence

The purest love is the love with no conditions, no expectations, no pollutants,  and no restrictions. The closest love which meets these qualities is a mother’s love towards her children.

Can we imagine someone who is the most powerful, the most compassionate, all-knowing, supporting and also the source of the purest love? If there is anyone like that, won’t we feel secure?

There is actually such an entity which the sanatana dharma calls Srimatha- the Supreme Mother. Matha means mother. Srimatha is the Mother of the mothers of the mothers…. The Supreme Mother, who doesn’t  need any other source but who is the source of everything and everyone and  who is the essence of every entity.

That’s splendid, but where is She? Is She accessible? 

She is SriMatha- Sri means beauty-  She is the beauty -the essence is the beauty, of everything in the universe. The essential feature or quality, without which that particular entity doesn’t exist, is its beauty. It is SriMatha who is making everything beautiful by  being the essence of everything. She is also within us as the essence of us, the chaitanya. Therefore she is readily accessible to us-we don't need to go anywhere to find her.

Is She willing to help us? She is the most loving entity-She is the Mother. A Mother helps Her children at all times. We just need to call Her wholeheartedly! She will be ready to help us immediately as She is right within us.

Can She protect us? She is the most powerful in the entire universe. She can definitely protect us. ‘Sri’ in SriMatha has many meanings:

• Power

• Auspiciousness

• Glory

• Beauty

• Nourishment

• Support

• Shelter 

• Love

• Prosperity

• Success

• Radiance

She is the Mother with all these and the Mother (source) of all these. Therefore, She can provide us all these. SriMatha can protect us, nourish us and give us the prosperity and all the good things in life.

Not only that, Sri also means Vedas and liberation, She can give us the ultimate wisdom and liberation.

If we remember the most powerful mother, the Supreme Mother and chant SriMatha, how much more effectively can She reduce our stress!

What else do we need? The Supreme Mother is the source of purest love, is ready to offer anything we need and She is at the closest proximity possible! All we need to do is to call her with devotion, O Mother! Srimatha!
